Head Wrestling Coach
The Ellwood City Area School District invites applications for the anticipated position of Head Wrestling Coach. The district seeks a motivated, organized, and student-centered coach to lead our wrestling program. Coaching experience at the varsity level is preferred.
Position Overview
Manage all aspects of the district wrestling program, including season planning, practice scheduling, skill development, conditioning, and in-competition coaching. Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes, emphasizing sportsmanship, academic eligibility, physical safety, and personal growth. Coordinate with athletic directors, school administration, strength and conditioning staff, and support personnel to ensure a safe and compliant program.Qualifications
Coaching experience at the varsity level preferred; demonstrated success coaching high school or club wrestlers is desirable. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills; ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff. Must possess current Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, Act 126, and Act 168 clearances.Application Instructions
