Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with 9+ years of experience in medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical design, preferably within EPC and industrial plant engineering environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in power systems, MV/LV facility design, electrical distribution, equipment sizing, protection and coordination, electrical layouts, and power system studies. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, AVEVA Electrical, ETAP, DIALux, and related engineering tools is highly desired.
Responsibilities

Load List, Feeder Lists, Cable Sizing Calculations, transformer Sizing calculations, CT/VT Sizing calculations, Relay setting and coordination study, Earthing Sizing Calculations, Tray Loading, Lighting System calculations, Bus duct sizing, Battery Sizing and UPS calculations.

Strong Experience in develop, review, and approve medium-voltage (5kV–35kV) electrical system designs including switchgear panels, MCC and relay panels. Schematic wiring diagram, interconnection diagram, cable schedule preparation .

Should have knowledge of ANSI, NEMA, NEC, UL, NEPA 70E.

Lead power engineering, medium-voltage distribution, or facility electrical design activities across project phases: concept design, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement support, construction support.

Creation of Technical Specifications for Transformers, MV Switchgears, DC and UPS System, MV Cables, Lighting-Cabling-Earthing System components, Control and Protection System, protection relays, Rectifiers, and bus ducts.

Performing small Feasibility studies for appropriate specification finalization. Strong communication skills.

Layouts-Cable Raceways, Grounding and Shielding System, Indoor and outdoor lighting, Electrical Equipment Layout- Substations, Transformer yards, Switchgear Rooms, Hazardous areas.

Preparation of Bill of materials for major equipment and bulk items for hazardous and safe areas.

Vendors offer review and creation of technical evaluation reports.

Single Line Diagrams, Protection and metering SLDs, SCADA/SAS architecture, I/O Lists.

Communications, meetings, coordination with multidisciplinary engineering team, professional consultants, vendors, suppliers, contractors.

Material Take-offs (MTO): Preparing the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications for procurement.

Electrical drawing 2D CAD Drafting, 3D designs Panel layout, Cable tray, cable duct, Clash detection.

Strong experience and understanding of AutoCAD, EPlan, 2D & 3D

Shall have knowledge of power system studies e.g. Short Circuit current calculation, Load flow study & Harmonic analysis and softwares like ETAP/ SKM.
