The role involves maintaining equipment, documenting participation, and helping create a positive and safe environment.
As a Therapeutic Activities Aide, you will perform the following duties:
- Activity Support: implement physical, vocational, social, and self-help activities for clients individually and in groups
- Equipment Care: Maintain materials in proper working order and submit repair requests when needed
- Staff Resource: Provide information and techniques to support aides and other staff working with clients
- Client Transport: Escort clients on and off campus for activities and appointments
- Safety Practices: Promote good health, safe conditions, report hazards, and participate in housekeeping tasks at the work site

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Work schedule may change based on operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Six months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
