Responsibilities:
 

  • Perform tests on equipment, generators, transfer switches and electrical equipment to meet requirements per policy, regulations and or codes.
  • Change lamps and ballasts and performs outlet testing as per iTMS work orders and verbal communication.
  • Promote patient safety.
  • Perform in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Perform Electrical maintenance. Installations, and repair on equipment throughout the hospital campus.

  • Promote patient safety.

  • Perform tests on equipment, generators, transfer switches and electrical equipment to meet requirements per policy, regulations and or codes.
  • City of Pittsburgh Electrical License required.
  • Must possess a current drivers license. Act 33 and Act 73 clearance must be provided within 30 days of hire.

High school graduate or equivalent required. Graduate of an electrical trade school or completion of an apprenticeship program required. 5 years' experience in commercial or health care maintenance required. Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical wiring diagrams required. Knowledge of the national electrical code and N.F.P.A. codes required. May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed.
