Start your healthcare administration career with UPMC Travel Staffing. As a Scheduling Coordinator, you'll work in a flexible hybrid/remote environment while partnering across the organization to support critical staffing operations.
Purpose:
Perform all scheduling relation functions to fulfilling requests for supplemental nursing support from UPMC facilities and day-to-day management/interaction with UPMC Travel Staffing employees.
Responsibilities:
- Schedules department employees as requested by those customers in a courteous and professional manner.Enforces department, UPMC and Nursing policies and procedures.Alerts HR consultant and/or manager of any performance issues and policy infractions related to department employees.
- Keeps department manager informed of nursing activity/trends within UPMC's facilities as it relates to filling nursing staff requests.Works with managers to fill long-term supplemental staffing needsInstruct and inform department employees about new policy and process updates and/or changes
- Ability to manage phone and e-mail conversations in an organized mannerConducts all scheduling interactions to fill supplemental nursing request orders and documents appropriately within vendor management system.Manages schedules and determines availability of department employees to best match with available assignments.
- .Ensures department employees have appropriate credentials and are compliant with regulatory standards prior to placement in any assignment. Establishes business relationships with UPMC facility contacts (AOD's, UD's, and schedulers) to best understand facility needs and ensures staffing support when requested.

· High School diploma is required.
· A college degree is preferred.
· One year of experience within a customer service and/or healthcare environment is required.
· Experience within a healthcare/patient setting is preferred—excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
· Computer skills and knowledge are required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
