As a Corrections Locksmith, you will perform the following duties:
- Lock System Work: Install, maintain, and repair new and existing locks and related mechanisms while performing routine checks
- Key Management: Produce original and duplicate keys from blanks, track broken, damaged or missing keys, and adjust master and issued key sets
- Inventory Control: Determine tools and materials to complete work assignments, submit purchase requests, and maintain needed supplies
- Inmate Oversight: Direct inmates in non-security tasks and keep accurate training, attendance, and wage records
- Security Measures: Search inmates and work areas for contraband during assigned activities

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $49,010.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in the locksmith trade; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
