This role centers on processing commercial vehicle title and registration transactions while supporting customer needs across multiple communication methods.  You will review records, maintain secure documentation, and resolve discrepancies with accuracy.  As a Clerical Assistant 3 with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, you will perform the following duties:


  • Application Processing: Examine and complete commercial vehicle title and registration requests
  • Customer Interaction: Respond to inquiries in person, by phone, mail, or electronic communication
  • Account Management: Create and maintain Commercial Motor Vehicle accounts and validate residency documents
  • Quality Control: Review online transactions for accuracy and help business partners correct errors
  • Security Procedures: Maintain security of funds, credentials, and title products while documenting cash drawer activities
  • Record Updating: Update databases, spreadsheets, documents, and email communication each day

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours/week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
