UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team! This daylight position works between 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and includes rotating weekday and weekend on-call responsibilities. Weekdays: 5pm - 7am; Weekends: 24 hours, 7am - 7pm.
Join a highly skilled team performing a wide variety of advanced nuclear medicine procedures and treatments while collaborating closely with our Interventional Radiology and Neurology departments. CT certification or CT board eligibility is highly preferred!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality nuclear medicine exams and procedures.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while educating patients throughout the imaging process.
- Ensure accurate documentation, coding, image archiving, and charge entry.
- Maintain records for the receipt, use, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Follow patient identification, safety, and radiation protection protocols.
- Review patient histories and physician orders to optimize imaging outcomes.
- Perform quality control testing on imaging equipment to ensure proper performance and functionality.

- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program or candidate meets NMTCB alternate eligibility criteria.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- ARRT(N) or CNMT registry or registry eligible
- Computed Tomography (CT) certification and/or board eligible highly preferred.
- Must obtain registry within 12 months of hire.
- CPR or BLS Required.
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hireIf working in a NY facility, you must have received certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and be Licensed through the New York State Department of Health.
- ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC)
