Summary
The Design Technician I is responsible for maintaining and preparing detailed and accurate CAD shape drawings, CAD refractory lining drawings and bills of materials for simple vessels needed for sales quotes and/or placing the customer order.

Summary
The Design Technician I is responsible for maintaining and preparing detailed and accurate CAD shape drawings, CAD refractory lining drawings and bills of materials for simple vessels needed for sales quotes and/or placing the customer order.
Responsibilities
- Preparing CAD refractory shape drawings for plant manufacturing
- Preparing CAD refractory lining drawings for simple customer vessels
- Preparing Excel bills of materials for simple customer vessels
Requirements
- Requires zero (0) to three (3) years of experience as a Design Technician with project design and CAD experience. Experience in the refractory industry preferred
- Requires Associate Degree in CAD Design or Engineering or equivalent experience in a related technical field
- Requires knowledge of AutoCAD & CREO software
- Requires knowledge of MS Excel and Access for bill of material program and customer databases
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Physical Activity: Requires more than 2/3 of time sitting and 1/3 to 2/3 of time walking and less than 1/3 of time standing, talking or hearing.
- Lifting: No lifting required.
- Vision: Requires accurate close, color and peripheral vision and the ability to focus.
- Environment: Requires more than 2/3 of time working in an office setting with limited exposure.
- Noise: Requires exposure to very quiet conditions.
- Travel: Limited travel to job site and customer meeting. Approximately 5% travel.
