We are seeking an experienced Chemical Process Engineer in Pittsburgh with a strong focus on technical quality, design review, and engineering oversight. This role is ideal for someone who excels at evaluating the work of others, ensuring accuracy, and upholding high engineering standards across complex advanced manufacturing and high-tech facility projects. You will play a critical role in maintaining quality across a multi-discipline, collaborative team by reviewing process designs, validating calculations, and ensuring alignment with project scopes, budgets, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform conceptual and detailed design reviews for advanced manufacturing and specialized industrial facilities.
- Conduct technical validation of calculations, specifications, and design assumptions to ensure consistency and defensibility of engineering work products.
- Execute rigorous quality reviews on designs performed by peers and junior team members.
- Apply industry best practices and deep technical knowledge to solve complex engineering and design problems.
- Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary, globally distributed team, maintaining flexible hours to support cross-regional communication.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a chemical process engineering role focused on facility designs within advanced manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, or similar industrial sectors.
- At least 1 year of direct experience within the semiconductor industry or semiconductor facilities systems.
- Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, with schedule flexibility to collaborate with a globally disbursed team.
- Familiarity with construction deliverables, including P&IDs, detail sheets, and engineering calculations.
- Experience with common design and review software such as Bluebeam and Navisworks.
- Demonstrated commitment to a coaching mindset, continuous improvement, and exceptional attention to detail.
