This position provides clerical support to the Nursing Department by organizing schedules, preparing documents, and assisting with daily operational needs. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Mail Processing: Collect, sort, and distribute mail and newspapers to appropriate units and residents
- Supply Management: Request supplies and maintain inventory levels for equipment and forms
- Schedule Coordination: Prepare, adjust, copy, and post nursing staff schedules across units
- Record Maintenance: Organize files, overtime lists, call offs, and appointment information
- Resident Support: Prepare appointment materials and assist residents with transportation and daily activities
- Communication Handling: Answer calls, route messages, and complete copying, typing, scanning, and faxing tasks

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Two (2) years or more of experience working with software applications within the Microsoft package and other software packages to create and maintain spreadsheets/calendars/documents/rosters etc.
- Previous experience with various office equipment such as a scanner/printer/fax/computer/tablet/telephone/personal communication devices etc.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Previous experience working in an office setting as a clerk and or personal assistant.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
