Quality Engineer Lead
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Contract: W2 onlyOverview
Key responsibilities include focusing on ensuring products/processes meet defined standards of quality, reliability, and performance. Automates QE test scripts. Lead testing efforts using automation tools. Write and implement test scripts/scenarios using Python and Spark Use JIRA X-ray for documentation and evidence collection. Coordinate with other QE’s to ensure compliance with standards Work on Hadoop-based projects.Key Responsibilities

• Focusing on ensuring products/processes meet defined standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
• Automates QE test scripts, and thorough documentation.
• Lead testing efforts using automation tools.
• Write and implement test scripts/scenarios using Python and Spark.
• Use JIRA X-ray for documentation and evidence collection.
• Coordinate with other QE’s to ensure compliance with standards.
• Work on Hadoop-based projects.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of documented hands-on QA/QE experience.
• Test management / tracking: Jira, Xray, Confluence.
• Automation frameworks & tools: Selenium, JUnit (or similar).
• Java.
• Front-end: Angular (testing UI components).
• Back-end: Java (test integration with Java services).
• Test design: experience converting manual test cases to automated scripts.
• SQL.
• Karate.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Hadoop-based projects.
• Code quality tooling: SonarQube experience
• Familiarity with change-management procedures for moving code from dev to test to production.
• Experience working with central QA/governance teams and adhering to release controls.
