Chemical Engineer
Introduction:
We are looking for a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our team in Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering, process engineering, and design review. This role will involve collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality engineering standards are met across various projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform conceptual and detailed design for advanced manufacturing facilities.
- Use best practices and industry knowledge to solve complex engineering problems.
- Perform technical validation of calculations, specifications, and design assumptions.
- Conduct quality reviews on designs performed by others.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on basic engineering principles.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and attention to detail.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or similar engineering field.
- At least 8 years of experience in chemical process engineering.
- Experience with semiconductor facilities systems.
- Proficiency in design software such as Bluebeam and Navisworks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in technical deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Coaching mindset for improving quality of work with team members.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills:
- One year of semiconductor experience.
- Familiarity with construction deliverables including P&IDs and detail sheets.
We are seeking someone who can work at least 20 hours per week with flexibility to support a globally disbursed team.
