The individual serves the Athletic Department as the Assistant Director of Financial Reporting and will be responsible for collaborating with members of the Athletic Business Office staff to satisfy the financial reporting requirements of the Athletic Department. In doing so, the employee must complete mandated and ad hoc financial reports, including, but not limited to, the Federal EADA Report, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Reports, Private Business Use Questionnaire, and select Conference financial surveys/disclosures. Additionally, the Assistant Director of Financial Reporting will be required to track, review, and reconcile Athletic Department transactions, including both revenue and expenditure activity. The employee will analyze financial trends and data, reconcile transactions to the general ledger and other shadow systems, ensure University accounting standards are met, and identify opportunities to be cost efficient and streamline business processes throughout the Athletic Department. The individual will report directly to the Assistant Athletic Director for Business and Finance and receive other tasks and direction from the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Finance and Strategy. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a focus on accounting, business, and/or finance strongly preferred.  Proficiency in both Microsoft Excel and Tableau is also strongly preferred.

Performs advanced fiscal, accounting, and general ledger functions. Prepares budgets, financial forecasts, and research.

Prepare all mandated financial reports that satisfy the Athletic Department’s financial reporting requirements. Prepare financial reports and analysis that are reasonably requested by Athletic Department and University Staff.

Analyze financial trends and data and reconcile transactions to the general ledger, ensuring University accounting standards are met, including both revenue and expenditures.

Support the Athletic Department Business Office with other assigned finance-related tasks.

Other Duties as Assigned.

Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
