This position supports the delivery of basic resident care and contributes to a safe, organized, and supportive environment. The role combines training, hands-on practice, and teamwork to help residents reach their fullest potential. As an Aide Trainee, you will perform the following duties:

  • Training Participation: Attend classroom instruction and complete on-the-job training to learn care techniques
  • Care Assistance: Support daily resident needs including rounds, room organization, and safe environment checks
  • Basic Support: Respond to call bells, assist with simple requests, and communicate clinical needs to nursing staff
  • Meal Services: Help distribute trays, provide feeding assistance, and document information as assigned
  • Resident Activities: Assist residents during events, appointments, and recreational programs
  • Equipment Care: Clean medical equipment and maintain supplies for resident use

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM (2nd shift), with a 30-minute lunch. You will work a rotating schedule and every other weekend. Work hours may change based on operational needs.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Preferred Qualification (not required):

  • Previous experience working in a long-term care facility

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
