The Senior Manager, Digital Projects serves as the strategic leader for UPMC’s digital project delivery function. This role ensures that UPMC’s digital marketing and technology initiatives—spanning payer and provider lines—are executed with precision, scalability, and regulatory compliance. By aligning enterprise project portfolios with organizational goals, the Senior Manager enables transformational initiatives that improve patient access, support member growth, and enhance overall healthcare experiences. This leader is responsible for governance and continuous improvement, ensuring UPMC maintains a competitive edge in healthcare innovation and digital engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead large scale Digital Projects across payer and provider audiences.
  • Own alignment and coordination between business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Manage and mentor Digital Project team members
  • Establish enterprise Agile governance, sprint cadences, and delivery standards.
  • Align project delivery with executive priorities, budgets, and timelines.
  • Develop and manage all projects, tasks, time, communications, and resources within the approved project management platform(s) (e.g., Jira, Workfront, Azure).
  • Oversee release planning for large-scale digital transformations.
  • Report outcomes, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives to executives.
  • Champion Agile culture, cross-functional collaboration, and innovation.
  • Demonstrated service-oriented behavior in cross-functional collaborative interactions with clients and co-workers.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Seven years of project/program management in digital marketing required.
  • Expertise in Agile frameworks at scale.
  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement, governance, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver enterprise-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with health care terminology (preferred).
