This position provides dependable transportation and social support to consumers in our community. Work focuses on ensuring consumer safety, dignity, and comfort while maintaining accurate communication and documentation. As a Van driver, you will perform the following duties:
- Transpiration Services: Drive a county vehicle to provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services to customers
- Passenger Assistance: Help passengers including senior adults and wheelchair users safely board and exit the vehicle and navigate uneven or unpaved pathways while
- Clear Communication: Maintain effective communication with passengers, dispatch, and agency staff in person and over two-way radio
- Technology Use: Operate electronic tablets and other approved technology to access schedules, document services, and complete required program records
- Professional Conduct: Demonstrate reliability, patience, professionalism, and the ability to work independently
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Part-time employment, 14-21+ hours per week
- Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
Condition of Employment:
- No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
