What You'll Do:
- Assist Radiologists and CT Technologists with imaging procedures and patient care.
- Gain experience utilizing advanced imaging equipment under the supervision of a Technologist or Radiologist.
- Assist with patient positioning, exam preparation, and workflow coordination.
- Support daily equipment inspections, quality control procedures, and departmental operations.
- Arrive patients, track exams, scan documentation, and schedule procedures within Radiology Information Systems.
- Obtain quality images while following radiation safety standards and protocols.
- Assist with contrast preparation under Technologist supervision (student techs are not responsible for loading or priming injectors).
- Maintain clinical proficiency and competency on completed skills and equipment.
This role is ideal for students looking to broaden their imaging knowledge, develop CT-specific experience, and work alongside a highly skilled team at one of UPMC's premier academic medical centers.
- Must be an active 2nd year student in ARRT, ARDMS, CNMT, or NMCTB approved school.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
