This position oversees nursing care for forensic patients and supports safe, therapeutic treatment across multiple care areas. As a Forensic Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Staff Supervision: Provide direction, evaluation and oversight of nursing staff in forensic care areas
- Resource Support: Serve as a knowledgeable support for nursing teams, interdisciplinary partners, and patient support services
- Environment Safety: Review and maintain a safe and therapeutic setting for patients and employees
- Training Coordination: Guide staff development, orientation, and ongoing training programs
- Performance Guidance: Coach staff, evaluate work performance, and support corrective action when needed
- Information Management: Manage communication, records, reports, and patient care documentation

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years as a Forensic Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of professional nursing experience providing care, treatment, custody, and control of psychiatric patients.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
