As a Licensed Occupational Therapist with the Department of Human Services (DHS) at the Danville State Hospital, you take the lead in creating therapies that spark progress and support meaningful growth. This position focuses on evaluating needs, designing treatment plans, and delivering occupational therapy services that support individual recovery. You contribute to team-based care by providing assessments, recommendations, and progress updates. As a Licensed Occupational Therapist, you will perform the following duties:

  • Therapy Evaluation: Assess individuals using approved methods and document findings in the electronic health record
  • Treatment Planning: Develop therapy sessions based on individual needs and monitor progress toward treatment goals
  • Team Collaboration: Share recommendations during multidisciplinary meetings to support coordinated care
  • Service Communication: Participate in department meetings and committees to promote clear understanding of therapy services
  • Resource Coordination: Request equipment and supplies and organize therapy areas to support effective treatments
  • Specialized Services: Complete physician ordered consultations for specialized occupational therapy interventions

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Free parking
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a license to practice occupational therapy as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Occupational Therapy Education and Licensure.
