Become a Clerical Assistant 2 with the Department of Transportation and play a key part in supporting the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. This position provides clerical support that helps the Bureau of Motor Vehicles maintain accurate records and deliver quality customer service. The work supports vehicle processing, public inquiries and daily operational needs within the bureau. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Record Examination: Review vehicle forms to verify proper completion and enter information into processing systems
- Application Processing: Process title and salvage applications by entering data and issuing required correspondence
- Customer Assistance: Answer questions from dealers, agents, messengers and members of the public
- Inquiry Management: Complete CLEANS, DAS, NVMTIS and ISO inquiries as needed for vehicle records
- Communication Handling: Respond to emails, calls and notepads related to abandoned vehicles and salvor issues
- Operational Support: Assist with tasks such as placing stops, reporting errors and maintaining professional customer service

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
