Computer Enterprises, Inc. (CEI) is seeking a talented Systems & Software Analyst to join our Client''s dynamic team.
Job at a glance:
  • This is a long-term contract, with an initial term of 12 months, planned for 12 month extension and/or permanent placement
  • Pay rate is $52-$59/hr W2 + eligible to sign up for benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k) on day 1
  • Hybrid position, onsite is on the Pittsburgh  North Shore (near the National Aviary) 2 days/wk and remote 3 days/wk

Position Summary:
The Systems & Software Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, support, and optimization of the organization’s HR repository and related document management processes. This role reports through the Corporate Applications team and directly supports HR stakeholders, business users, and software vendors to ensure the availability, integrity, security, and accessibility of HR records and repository data. The position supports several operational capabilities including but not limited to – repository operations, user access management, reporting, process documentation, issue resolution, and system enhancements. Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, record retention requirements and data governance standards will be foundational. This contracted role will serve as the key operational resource for providing continuity of support and assisting with ongoing improvements to repository processes and functionality.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the HR Repository and associated document management processes.
  • Assist with the management of repository content, metadata standards, document organization, retention schedules, and archival activities.
  • Provide operational support for HR Repository users, including troubleshooting access, document retrieval, data quality, and system-related issues.
  • Partner with the Systems & Software Analyst IV, HR stakeholders, business users, and vendors to support ongoing repository operations and enhancement initiatives.
  • Monitor repository processes and scheduled activities to ensure successful execution and timely resolution of issues.
  • Assist with user access administration, security reviews, and role-based permissions in accordance with company policies and data governance requirements.
  • Support reporting activities, audits, and data requests by generating, validating, and distributing repository data and operational metrics.
  • Participate in testing efforts for repository enhancements, upgrades, migrations, and integrations, including validation of functionality and business requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical and operational documentation, including standard operating procedures, support guides, system configurations, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Work with internal IT teams and vendors to investigate, document, and resolve application defects, system issues, and service requests.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve repository processes, streamline document management workflows, and enhance the user experience.
  • Support data cleanup, document migration, repository modernization, and records management initiatives.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, security, and accessibility of repository data and documents.
  • Coordinate with business users to understand operational requirements and help translate those needs into actionable support and enhancement activities.
  • Support repository integrations, file transfers, and related data exchange processes, assisting with troubleshooting and validation as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings, project activities, and planning sessions, providing repository subject matter expertise and operational support.
  • Track, manage, and resolve support requests within established service level expectations, escalating complex issues when appropriate.
  • Support compliance, records retention, privacy, and audit requirements by following established governance and documentation standards.
  • Perform other repository administration, application support, and project-related duties as assigned.
  • Support the maintenance and modernization of the HR Repository, including administration of the current SQL-based repository, migration planning and execution activities, testing, data validation, and transition to a scalable future-state solution.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business information technology, human resources information systems, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered. 
  • 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, document management systems, content repositories, HR systems, or other business-critical applications.
  • Experience providing application administration, operational support, troubleshooting, and end-user assistance for business systems.
  • Strong understanding of managing data repositories, document management platforms, records management systems, or similar solutions.
  • Experience creating and supporting reports, data extracts, and data validation activities using SQL or comparable reporting tools.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including querying, data validation, and troubleshooting data issues.
  • Familiarity with supporting data migration, conversion, or system modernization initiatives, including testing, reconciliation, and validation activities.
  • Experience documenting business processes, technical procedures, system configurations, and support materials.
  • Exposure to working with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to support application enhancements and issue resolution.
  • Proficiency with supporting user security, access management, and data governance processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and SaaS solutions.
  • SQL experience, specifically for querying databases and troubleshooting integrations.
  • Experience with ticketing software, backlog management, and work prioritization.  
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical business users.
  • Experience in coordinating and communicating with software vendors.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple technical teams ensuring successful application implementation.
  • Analytical skills to assess business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Apply working knowledge of APIs and system integrations to support seamless data exchange between SuccessFactors and downstream systems Administer SFTP-based integrations, including file encryption (PGP/SSH) and decryption processes
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of HR systems, employee records management, and document retention practices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, SSMS, SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS SQL Server Reporting Services, VS (Visual Studio) using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), data validation, reporting, and data migration activities.
  • An Understanding of database triggers and triggering of data to downstream 3 party applications along with database functions.
  • Experience supporting document management, content repository, or enterprise records management platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Scope
Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting.  Accountable for managing one''s own time and workflow but may be leading projects or project steps.  Work is typically complex in nature requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform the role.  Continues to build knowledge base but has a solid foundation to act independently the majority of the time.  Still draws on experts and managers when needed but less frequently. Acts as a resource to less experienced staff on routine issues.
Hybrid Work
Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs. 
Data Governance
Utilize data to make business decisions as appropriate for the position, support data stewardship activities and partner with IT on underlying data needs.
