SSU Susquehanna CORE AmeriCorps Member

South Schuylkill Unified

Pittsburgh, PAPosted August 25, 2026via PANO Jobs

This is not a traditional job. It is an AmeriCorps national service opportunity that gives you the chance to spend a year making a real difference while building valuable professional experience.

As South Schuylkill Unified’s AmeriCorps Community Revitalization and Economic Development Member, you will be actively involved in the work of strengthening communities, supporting local businesses, engaging residents and volunteers, and helping turn community ideas into action. You will gain hands-on experience, professional mentorship, training, networking opportunities, and meaningful exposure to careers in community revitalization, economic development, nonprofit leadership, and public service.

You will not simply observe the work. You will be part of it. We want your ideas, your perspective, and your energy at the table. You will have opportunities to work with community leaders and partners, participate in real projects and meetings, and even develop an initiative of your own during your service year.

AmeriCorps service also provides a living allowance, health insurance, childcare assistance for eligible members, and an education award upon successful completion of service.

If you are looking for a year that can strengthen your résumé, expand your professional network, help you discover a career path, and allow you to leave a meaningful mark on a community, this is a real opportunity to do exactly that.
