The Mission:
For 125 years, the Allentown Rescue Mission has been a beacon of hope, rescuing, rehabilitating, and restoring men in crisis. We are looking for a Client Advocate to join our team and walk alongside men as they move from the streets to self-sufficiency.

What You’ll Do:
You will provide the consistent, compassionate support necessary to guide men through our three core program pillars: Emergency Shelter, Transformation Program, and Clean Team Workforce.

Case Management: Lead clients from initial intake to successful program graduation.
Skill Building: Track and ensure the retention of vital life skills and workforce-readiness training.
Cross-Department Coordination: Bridge the gap between our shelter, recovery, and workforce teams to ensure a seamless client journey.
Outcome Tracking: Identify and document measurable metrics of success and stability.
Mentorship: Act as a steady guide for men pursuing long-term housing, employment, and restoration.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum associate degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field (bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Experience in case management, social services, workforce development, or residential program support strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with traumainformed care, recovery principles, or homelessness services is a plus.

 Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with men in crisis.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases, track progress, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Solid organizational and timemanagement skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple program areas.
  • Competence in data tracking, outcome measurement, and reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Problemsolving mindset with the ability to remain calm, compassionate, and consistent in challenging situations.

Work Expectations

  • Must be able to work onsite in Allentown, PA.
  • Must have a valid driver's license & clean driving record
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ARM’s mission, values, and code of conduct.
  • Flexibility to support program needs, including occasional schedule adjustments for client or departmental requirements.
