Job Summary:
We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in C/C++, Python, ROS, Linux, OpenCV, and embedded systems development. The candidate will work on precision mining and autonomy-related features, supporting design, development, integration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting in an Agile environment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field with 2-4 years of relevant experience, OR

  • Master s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field with 1-2 years of relevant experience


Required Skills

  • Strong programming experience with C, C++, and Python

  • Hands-on experience with ROS1 and/or ROS2

  • Experience with OpenCV and Machine Learning development

  • Embedded software development experience

  • Experience working in Linux environments

  • Strong knowledge of GitHub/version control

  • Experience with communication protocols such as:

    • CAN

    • Ethernet

    • Other embedded data links

  • Experience with AWS services, including:

    • S3

    • EC2

    • AWS Batch

  • Strong troubleshooting and issue-resolution skills

  • Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation

  • Experience working in Agile/Sprint-based development environments


Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Robotics, Autonomy, or Autonomous Systems

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop precision mining features using Embedded C++, Linux, and GitHub

  • Design, develop, review, integrate, and test embedded software

  • Perform issue triage, troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis

  • Develop and execute validation plans

  • Participate in Agile sprint planning and development activities

  • Perform systems requirements decomposition and translate requirements into software designs

  • Support software integration and system-level testing

  • Collaborate with machine, systems, software, and validation engineering teams

  • Work effectively with culturally diverse and globally distributed teams

  • Support development of robotics/autonomy-related embedded applications
