This position focuses on operating automated mailing equipment and preparing a wide range of printed materials for distribution. Through your work, you will support accurate processing, quality control, and safe handling of mail items. As a Mail Production Operator, you will perform the following duties:
- Machine Operation: Operate automated inserting equipment and set up machines for daily processing
- Material Handling: Load forms, envelopes, and inserts and verify that materials match production requirements
- Quality Review: Check completed mail pieces for accuracy and prepare them for trays or transport
- Minor Maintenance: Make small adjustments and repairs to keep equipment running smoothly
- Mail Preparation: Use scales, metering equipment, and folding machines to prepare items for mailing
- General Support: Assist with hand enclosing, packaging, and movement of mail within processing areas

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours/week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Mail Production Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
