In this Aging Care Manager 3 position, you will receive and investigate reports of neglect and abuse of the elderly, perform intensive care management and advocacy, and provide professional guidance about protective services. Your specialized duties and independent judgment in achieving objectives will ensure critical support and intervention are provided within strict timeframes needed to protect our elderly and aging neighbors. Responsibilities in this role include:
- Specialized Casework: Perform intensive care management duties for individuals in high-risk circumstances; conduct assessments; develop and establish care plans to stabilize clients effectively
- Conduct Investigations: Thoroughly investigate circumstances of clients who need protection from abuse, exploitation, abandonment, or self-neglect; recommend cases for court intervention when necessary
- Complete Documentation: Independently document all actions in databases within required time frames while paying close attention to detail
- Coordinate Collaboration: Work effectively with and gather information from clients and other people involved; regularly coordinate with physicians, community agencies, financial institutions, hospitals, nursing homes, personal care homes, and others to get clients evaluated and linked with the services they need
- Provide Guidance: Advise staff and the public in specialized areas such as legal, medical, privacy laws, rules, and regulations as they relate to protective service clients
- High-Stakes Support: Testify in court; respond to client emergencies
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Periodic on-call hours when required. Some training would be out of county and may require overnight stay.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Aging Care Manager 2 or Aging Program Assessor; or
- One and one-half years of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience; and a bachelor's degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes six months of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Schuylkill County. If no eligible candidates who live within Schuylkill County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.

- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
