This role focuses on maintaining assigned areas within the DGS Annex Complex so that offices, restrooms, and public spaces remain clean and orderly. You will perform routine and specialized cleaning tasks while ensuring that facilities stay safe and ready for daily use. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Floor Care: Perform routine and advanced floor cleaning including washing, buffing, refinishing, shampooing, and extracting
- Surface Cleaning: Dust and clean office areas, hallways, restrooms, furnishings, and equipment
- Restroom Maintenance: Wash fixtures, replenish supplies, and report issues such as leaks or damaged lighting
- Trash Handling: Collect and transport trash and recycling materials to designated pick-up points
- Equipment Use: Select proper cleaning agents and maintain cleaning equipment through minor repairs and proper care
- Outdoor Upkeep: Sweep exterior entrances and sidewalks and remove snow and ice as needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and two 15-minute paid breaks.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
