- Interpret, verify, and dispense medication orders while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and regulatory standards.
- Review patient medication profiles for allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and appropriateness of therapy; identify and report adverse drug reactions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to clarify orders, optimize medication therapy, and support positive patient outcomes.
- Support formulary management through therapeutic interchange protocols, evidence-based medication selection, and minimization of non-formulary drug use.
- Prepare and dispense medications, including sterile intravenous admixtures, utilizing appropriate technology and aseptic techniques.
- Provide drug information, education, and clinical guidance to healthcare professionals, pharmacy students, and other stakeholders.
- Utilize pharmacy technology and information systems to support safe, accurate, and efficient pharmaceutical care.
- Assist with pharmacy operations by coordinating daily workflow and providing guidance to pharmacy technicians, interns, aides, and other support personnel.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, quality initiatives, professional practice standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy
- B.S in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Current licensure as a Pharmacist in practicing state
- 2 years of pharmacist experience preferred
