This position provides essential clerical support that keeps communication channels open and records accurate for the Westmoreland County District Office. The work helps ensure that daily operations run smoothly and that field personnel receive timely assistance. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Call Management: Handle incoming calls, record needed information, and route messages through proper channels
- Radio Coordination: Maintain radio contact with field staff and respond to requests in accordance with procedures
- Weather Monitoring: Track weather conditions using local news, monitors, and reporting systems
- System Input: Enter roadway conditions and closures into the RCRS system at required intervals
- Leave Tracking: Maintain leave records, post daily leave slips, and run leave type reports
- Claims Support: Gather information for tort claims and coordinate with county assistants to provide details to adjustors

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
