As a Custodial Worker 1 at Clarks Summit State Hospital, you will help maintain a clean and welcoming environment for everyone who enters the facility. This role makes a direct impact by supporting sanitation and safety. Your efforts will help patients, staff, and visitors feel comfortable every day. This position supports the overall cleanliness and safety at the hospital by carrying out tasks that are essential for sanitation and infection control. Our team will rely on you follow and share directions and to notice what areas are dirty, what must be cleaned, and other important details. As a Custodial Worker, you will perform the following duties:
- Sanitation Tasks: Clean floors, restrooms, dining rooms, and fixtures indoors; help remove snow and debris from entrances and walkways
- Safety Practices: Properly use and store floor care equipment, cleaning chemicals, and other items needed to complete tasks
- Supplies Transport: Help with laundry and linen pick up and delivery; move supplies and furniture around the hospital as needed
- Communication Duties: Report hazards, receive instructions, and relay information to supervisors and coworkers

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday – Wednesday, with Thursday and Friday off, and a 30-minute lunch. Overtime as needed. May change based on operational needs.

- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
