This role centers on providing direct assistance and non-professional nursing care that helps residents stay safe, comfortable, and engaged in daily life. As a Nurse Aide, you will perform the following duties:
- Care Support: Assist residents with daily care needs, including bathing, grooming, toileting, transfers, ambulation, and feeding
- Resident Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents and respond to call bells and safety concerns
- Mobility Assistance: Transport residents by wheelchair, geri chair, or stretcher and escort them to appointments as needed
- Room Upkeep: Maintain clean, organized rooms, make beds, handle linens, and help create a homelike environment
- Documentation Tasks: Record resident care and services to meet regulatory and facility requirements
- Supply Handling: Restock and organize resident supplies and deliver needed materials to the nursing unit

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment (8 hours per day; 40 hours per week)
- Work hours are 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM (2nd shift), including rotating days and weekends, with a 30-minute lunch. In this role, you will be required to work every other weekend.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $45,171 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
- Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
- This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
