UPMC Health Plan has an exciting opportunity for a Project Analyst position in the State Contract Op Actvs department.  This is a full time position working Monday through Friday daylight hours.  This is a hybrid position consisting of working from home and in office 3 days per week which is located in the US Steel Tower downtown Pittsburgh, PA. 

Under the general direction of the Program Director for each assigned project, the Project Analyst will provide support and accountability for project management efforts across the organization. This position will be responsible for monitoring, documenting, and reporting progress and performance for defined project objectives and measures as well as for assisting in the development and maintenance of detailed project plans.  

The Project Analyst will also support operational initiatives by coordinating projects, analyzing processes and performance, and ensuring activities align with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.  This role requires strong attention to detail and experience working in a compliance-driven environment.  
Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with members of UPMC executive management and staff regarding assigned projects
  • Assist in the development of business cases, work plans, communications, etc.
  • Maintain project documents within approved archival systems.
  • Generate necessary project documentation, including meeting minutes, project deliverables, etc.
  • Handle project administrative duties including scheduling requirements, SharePoint requirements, etc.
  • Advise project stakeholders of pending due dates, and engage Program Director when due dates are past.
  • Proactively identify and help resolve potential issues and/or barriers which are critical to the success of a project.
  • B.A. degree and 2 years experience (preferred).
  • Experience in health care insurance or health care industry preferred. 
  • Excellent computer skills required, including MS Office Suite Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written) are required. 
  • Very well organized and deadline conscious. 
  • Project Management knowledge and future potential to manage multiple projects required.
