Position Summary
This position reports to the Deputy Division Manager. The incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing, and managing the processes governing polling place locations and the adequate equipment needed throughout the County while also ensuring compliance of accessibility.
Duties
- Locate and lease polling places.
- Ensure polling places have the appropriate furniture, restroom facilities, and are universally accessible.
- Notifies voters and the Board of Elections when polling places change.
- Arrange, in conjunction with the Manager of Voting Machines, for voting machine delivery.
- Ensure that staff are present when related supplies are delivered to polling locations.
- Update and maintain a database containing all polling places: e.g. descriptions, contact information, and lease fee payments.
- Prepare bids for transporting voting machines.
- Send correspondence to polling places of dates of elections and deliveries.
- Handles non-routine inquiries and participates in other special projects as assigned.

- Pennsylvania voter services system(s).
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Accessibility compliance.
- Election management software.
- GIS mapping software.
- Election procedures.

- Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Minimum Requirements
- An associate degree in business or a related field, AND two (2) years of intermediate level clerical work experience and the possession and maintenance of a valid PA drivers’ license. Familiarity with the election process and prior supervisory experience is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
A valid drivers license is required prior to appointment.
It is the policy of Allegheny County that in order to receive a final offer of employment, candidates must successfully pass a background check, which includes verification of Allegheny County Real Estate Tax status.
Residency
Allegheny County within 1 year.
