This position provides clerical and timekeeping support that keeps garage operations organized and functioning well. The role strengthens payroll processing, record maintenance, and communication within the Allegheny County Maintenance Garage. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Payroll Processing: Perform payroll entry and support payroll reporting using the SAP system
- Timekeeping Duties: Serve as the primary timekeeper for equipment payrolls and maintain accurate records
- Fuel Receipt Management: File and reconcile fuel receipts, monitor card activity, and maintain accurate logs
- Clerical Support: Complete typing, filing, data entry, mail sorting, and document scanning
- Customer Assistance: Provide basic information to callers and visitors and direct detailed questions to the appropriate staff
- Backup Support: Assist the Clerical Assistant 3, radio room, and Customer Care Center when needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Schedule may vary seasonally, due to weather, and/or based on operational needs
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. - Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
