Carnegie Mellon University’s Dietrich College is searching for a Research Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing support by supporting both longitudinal and cross-sectional students with children between the ages of 3 and 8.
Core responsibilities include:
Work closely with the PI, Erik Thiessen, to provide research-related support, including participant recruitment, coordination and payment of human subjects, and data management and maintenance.
Assist with the coordination and supervision of undergraduate and post-baccalaureate research assistants.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in psychology, statistics, neuroscience, decision science, economics, or related field preferred
1-3 years of research, research lab, and/or data collection experience required
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
Requirements:
Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
Child Protection Clearances (Act 153)

This is a part-time (15 hours/week), non-exempt position based in Pittsburgh, PA
Fixed Term: This is a fixed-term position with an estimated duration of one year.
Work Posture: This position is operating fully on site.
