The Food Service Worker 1 helps support daily dietary operations by preparing food, maintaining clean work areas, and following important health and safety standards. The role ensures safe meal service and organized kitchen operations across the hospital. As a Food Service Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Food Preparation: Prepare and serve food safely using portioning sheets, labels, and correct techniques
- Sanitation Duties: Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, tray lines, coolers, freezers, and storage spaces
- Stock Management: Store food properly, rotate stock, restock supplies, and control waste
- Equipment Use: Operate kitchen tools and machines correctly while following all safety guidelines
- Meal Support: Assemble items accurately, thicken liquids, pour beverages, and serve meals with care

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, rotating days, with a 30-minute lunch. Your days off will change with your work schedule, and you may work on holidays as assigned.

- Overtime as operationally necessary
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
