This position supports statewide initiatives by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and presenting program information and juvenile justice data. Work provides essential assistance for effective planning, tracking, and communication. As a Program Analyst 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Information Gathering: Assist with the collection of data through surveys, research, agency contacts, county contacts, Pennsylvania Juvenile Case Management System (PaJCMS) queries, and program documentation
- Data Review: Examine juvenile administrative records to identify and address missing or inconsistent information, duplicate records, and other issues; maintain spreadsheets and tracking documents
- Technical Analysis: Organize, examine, and process information using Microsoft Excel functions to merge, clean, calculate, analyze, and interpret data and to generate charts and graphs
- Report Preparation: Draft and create reports, dashboards, summaries, and presentations to effectively convey findings that will support project evaluation, development, and analysis
- Performance Measures: Review policies, procedures, guidance, and program materials; support the development and tracking of program performance indicators for agency initiatives
- Stakeholder Support: Assist with meeting preparation, follow up, and project coordination; help develop materials for communicating information to internal staff, counties, juvenile probation departments, and other system stakeholders

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of paraprofessional analytical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires one or more years of full-time professional experience working with Microsoft Excel (e.g., using Functions and Formulas to merge, organize, clean, calculate, and evaluate data; creating and using PivotTables to summarize, analyze, and interpret data; and developing charts and graphs to effectively present data, trends, and analytical findings, etc.).
