Are you a dedicated clinical or counseling psychologist ready to make a meaningful impact within the collaborative, innovative, and supportive culture of a leading academic health system? UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital, part of the world-renowned UPMC system, is expanding its outpatient psychology services in Green Tree, PA, and seeking a Licensed Psychologist to deliver short-term, evidence-based, and personalized outpatient care. This position offers flexibility to align with the candidate’s expertise and interests, serving either child/adolescent patients and families or adult patients.

This role offers the opportunity to help grow and advance clinical psychology within UPMC. Candidates should have strong knowledge of general mental health conditions. Ideal candidates bring additional expertise in specialized areas. You’ll have opportunities to expand services, provide both in-person and telemedicine care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the system. The position includes full administrative support, rich training and supervision opportunities, and potential program development or quality improvement collaborations for those with relevant interests and experience.

This position works in our UPMC Outpatient Center in Greentree and is primarily daytime hours, though providers may be required to offer one evening clinic per week.

Sign-On Bonus Details:

$5,000 for a 2-year contract

$7,000 for a 3-year contract

Responsibilities:
 

  • Provides crisis sessions to support and assist patients experiencing acute distress and/or symptoms, as needed.
  • Provides behavioral health services, using empirically validated treatments and interventions.
  • Participates in regular supervisory meetings with direct supervisor to review adherence to program standards.
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain accurate and complete records and data collection, performed in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrates highly developed knowledge and skill in the area of differential diagnosis of psychiatric disorders.
  • Consults and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams regarding patient care and treatment planning.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant literature and empirically validated treatments.
  • Performs psychological assessment with accurate diagnostic impressions.
  • Provides behavioral health services using an acute and maintenance model.
  • Schedules sufficient volume of patients so that direct service productivity standards are maintained within the department.
  • Maintains knowledge of the literature relevant to the assigned patient population.
  • Works collaboratively with other service lines at UPMC and outside agencies assuring continuity of care with referral sources and other providers.

Doctoral degree in Psychology (PsyD or PhD) from an accredited institution.

Active PA Psychology License.

1 years of experience in Psychology or related field preferred.

Excellent clinical interviewing and assessment/therapy skills to work with patients and families.

Strong interpersonal skills.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Active PA Psychology License

·       Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)

·       Psychologist

·       Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

·       Act 33 with renewal

·       Act 34 with renewal

·       Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
