This role supports individualized care plans by assisting licensed professionals with daily health and hygiene routines for inmates. As a Nurse Aide, you will perform the following duties:
- Health Monitoring: Check and record vital signs and observe daily health patterns
- Personal Care: Assist inmates with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and mobility needs
- Comfort Support: Provide lifting, positioning, transferring, and skin care to support well-being and safety
- Escort Assistance: Help transport wheelchair inmates to medical lines, tests, and consultations
- Record Keeping: Document care activities, retrieve information, and maintain accurate health records
- Supply Maintenance: Sterilize equipment and manage inventory to support daily operations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- The Department of Corrections is staffed by three (3) work shifts that cover the facility 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
- 1st shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; 2nd shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM; and 3rd shift: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- You will have rotating days off.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
- Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
Special Requirement:
- This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
