About the Role
In this role, you'll combine deep technical expertise with project leadership, designing innovative solutions, improving system performance, and guiding teams from concept through execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities
- Drive adoption of advanced technologies (automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage) to improve performance and reduce costs
- Implement and enhance electrical safety systems (arc flash mitigation, fault detection, system protection)
- Provide technical expertise in power distribution, schematics, and system layouts for both new builds and upgrades
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited)
OR Engineering Technology degree (ABET accredited) + PE license + 4+ years of relevant experience - 4+ years of experience in natural gas, data centers, or similar industries
- Strong knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE)
- Experience with arc flash studies and mitigation strategies
- Familiarity with power system analysis tools (ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink, etc.)
- Understanding of high-voltage systems, transformers, generators, and switchgear
- Knowledge of grid integration and renewable energy systems
Preferred
- Commissioning, testing, and startup of electrical systems
- Supporting procurement of electrical equipment and vendor coordination
