Are you a skilled Diagnostic Technologist looking for a role that combines advanced imaging with the excitement of sports medicine? UPMC Presbyterian is hiring a Diagnostic Technologist to support our Sports Medicine team! You'll have an opportunity to support our teams between the Kaufman Medical Building and the Rooney Sports Complex!

What You’ll Do

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using established protocols and independent judgment to produce high-quality results without direct supervision.
  • Identify and prepare patients properly using two patient identifiers and universal protocol to ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Review orders and patient histories to determine the best approach for imaging and document all necessary information in the electronic record.
  • Administer oral and rectal contrast per physician orders and department policy.
  • Ensure exam accuracy — properly code, track, archive, and enter charges for all studies performed.
  • Operate advanced imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, and documentation of image data according to protocol.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, explaining procedures and helping them feel comfortable and informed.
  • Collaborate with your team to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care while maintaining dignity, respect, and professionalism.
  • Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology. 
  • 2 years Diagnostic experience required. 
  • Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
     
  • ARRT certified in Radiography. CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • ARRT Certificate
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Act 34
