The Dealer Audit Section Field Auditor role with the Department of Transportation provides a unique chance to make a real difference in how vehicle services are monitored across the region. This position supports the Central East region by conducting detailed audits and site reviews of agent and messenger services to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and contract requirements. The role emphasizes independent field work, careful document review, and strong communication of audit results. As a Dealer Audit Section Field Auditor, you will perform the following duties:

  • Audit Reviews: Conduct on-site audits and examine documents to identify violations or fraudulent activity
  • Compliance Checks: Interpret regulations and contracts to confirm that required procedures are being followed
  • Financial Evaluation: Review titling and registration financial documents to verify that proper fees are submitted
  • Reporting Duties: Prepare audit reports, recommend sanctions, and provide written notifications of findings
  • Data Tracking: Log audit results, track sanctions, and prepare statistical summaries and analysis reports
  • Issue Response: Report suspected violations, recommend process improvements, and testify when required

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 75 hours bi-weekly
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 360-minute lunch.
  • The selected applicant will work at the Driver’s License Center location nearest to their home address, as determined by the agency.
  • This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS).
  • This position may require travel and overtime. 
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after successful completion of 6 month training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or 
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must possess a current Class C driver's license which is not under suspension. 
  • You must reside in one of the following counties: Philadelphia, Chester, or Delaware. 
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
