The Lottery Drawing Officer position with the Security and Investigations Division offers an exciting chance to support fair and secure lottery drawings for the people of Pennsylvania. This role supports the secure and accurate operation of Pennsylvania Lottery drawings while working in both studio and office settings. You will help ensure every drawing follows required procedures and all results are verified and communicated properly. As a Lottery Drawing Officer, you will perform the following duties:

  • Drawing Operations: Conduct official drawings for all games while following strict procedures and schedules
  • Public Witness Coordination: Arrange, schedule, and assist public witnesses who participate in live evening drawings
  • Equipment Handling: Move, set up, load, and unload drawing machines, ball sets, and related materials
  • Studio Activities: Operate drawing machines on-air, follow visual cues, and interact with production staff during broadcasts
  • Record Keeping: Document drawing activities, test results, and equipment selections by hand and in computer systems
  • Result Verification: Compare drawing results with CPA records, update systems, and ensure accurate reporting to all required parties

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
  • Schedule includes working 10 days out of a 14 day pay period including nights, weekends, holidays.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have the ability to learn new computer systems.
  • You must be willing and able to work nights and weekends.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
