Benjamin Legal, P.C. has represented Maricopa County families in divorce, custody, and post-decree matters since 2005. We’re looking for an experienced family law attorney who wants substantive work, real autonomy, and colleagues they genuinely enjoy working with.
This is an opportunity to manage your own docket—not spend your days carrying someone else’s caseload.
The work
You’ll handle your own cases from intake through resolution, with meaningful client contact from day one. Our matters include contested custody, complex property division and business valuation, relocation, prenuptial agreements, and post-decree enforcement.
You’ll develop case strategy, draft motions, take depositions, negotiate resolutions, and argue at hearings and trials. You’ll have two senior associates and the founding attorney available when you need another perspective, a gut check, or help untangling a case that has taken an unexpected turn. We work as a team, and no one here is left out on an island without support.

We do not have a billable requirement, and we’ll tell you exactly how our modernized system works without the added stress of monitoring your hours. Attorneys manage their own calendars and may work remotely when their dockets allow. No one is monitoring who leaves at 4:30 for a school pickup, appointment, workout, or simply to have dinner at home. We care about excellent work, responsiveness, and good judgment—not performative busyness.
What we’re looking for
Two years plus of Arizona family law experience
An active Arizona Bar license in good standing
Clear, persuasive writing that a judge can follow without effort
The ability and confidence to manage cases independently
A collaborative approach, emotional intelligence, and a sense of humor
Someone interested in finding a professional home, not simply a next stop
Compensation and benefits
Benefits
Base salary $90,000–$105,000 depending on experience, plus an uncapped monthly production bonus. Our associates' total annual compensation currently ranges from approximately $160,000 to over $200,000, all while having a life outside of the office. Plus:

Experience independently managing family law matters from intake through resolution
Courtroom experience, including evidentiary hearings and trials
Experience drafting motions, pleadings, discovery, and trial-related documents
Experience taking depositions and negotiating settlements
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage deadlines, client expectations, and a substantive caseload
Sound judgment about which issues warrant litigation and which are better resolved
Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients facing difficult circumstances
Professionalism and confidence when working with opposing counsel and the court
