Compensation: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in modern cloud-based data platforms and healthcare data ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable data solutions using Snowflake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Medallion Architecture, along with deep knowledge of data modeling best practices. Experience working with Health Insurance data is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Snowflake.
- Implement and support Medallion Architecture frameworks (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers) to enable trusted, high-quality analytics.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support reporting, analytics, and operational data needs.
- Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, analysts, and application teams to understand data requirements.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are met.
- Support enterprise data warehouse modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
- Analyze complex healthcare datasets and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related disciplines.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Snowflake
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- SQL
- ETL/ELT development
- Data Modeling (dimensional and relational)
- Experience designing and implementing Medallion Architecture or similar modern data lakehouse frameworks.
- Proven ability to build and optimize large-scale cloud-based data solutions.
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Experience within the healthcare or health insurance industry.
- Knowledge of healthcare data domains such as:
- Claims
- Member/Subscriber Data
- Provider Data
- Enrollment
- Clinical or Population Health Data
- Experience with Azure cloud services and modern data platform architectures.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and data privacy requirements (HIPAA).
