The Correctional Industries Sales and Marketing Representative position with the Department of Corrections, Correctional Industries offers an exciting chance to build strong customer relationships across the state. This position promotes Correctional Industries products by meeting with customers, responding to inquiries, and supporting sales activities across an assigned territory. As a Correctional Industries Sales and Marketing Representative, you will perform the following duties:

  • Customer Outreach: Establish contacts with officials and agencies to promote products and services
  • Product Promotion: Conduct presentations and gather information on customer needs and preferences
  • Event Representation: Attend conventions and distribute catalogs, price lists and product samples
  • Record Maintenance: Prepare reports, calendars and customer records to track activity
  • Shop Coordination: Visit CI shops and act as liaison between customers and CI operations
  • Order Assistance: Prepare customer orders, price quotes and follow up on account concerns

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • This position requires daily travel
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of professional sales experience in a manufacturing or service oriented production operation, and a bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business administration, or a closely related area; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • You must reside in or be willing to relocate to one of the following counties by the time of hire: Bradford, Carbon, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne or Wyoming. 
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
