This role provides full psychiatric care for patients who depend on steady guidance and clear clinical direction. It is a position that requires leadership, attention to detail, and collaboration with many medical and clinical partners. As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will perform the following duties:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct detailed psychiatric examinations and establish accurate diagnoses
- Treatment Planning: Develop individual treatment plans by directing team discussions and using interdisciplinary input
- Medical Interpretation: Review consultations, lab results, and clinical studies to determine appropriate treatment orders
- Emergency Response: Lead psychiatric and medical emergency actions, provide direction, and apply trained procedures
- Documentation Preparation: Produce reports, progress notes, treatment reviews, and competency assessments
- Court Participation: Testify at hearings related to commitments, competency, and guardianship

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Possible evening, weekend, and holiday on-call hours.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
Special Requirements:
- You must be in possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
