This role focuses on maintaining and repairing electrical systems at the Fort Indiantown Gap Airbase to ensure dependable operation. As an Electrician 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Electrical Repairs: Troubleshoot, repair, replace, maintain, install, and modify de-energized electrical systems and components
- Power Coordination: Coordinate planned electrical power interruptions with facility occupants before performing maintenance
- System Testing: Perform tests to confirm proper operation and determine causes of electrical malfunctions
- Code Compliance: Interpret test results to verify systems meet current National Electric Code requirements
- Equipment Inspection: Use testing devices to locate faults and maintain monitoring equipment such as detectors and sump pumps
- Emergency Actions: Respond to off-duty electrical emergencies to protect lives and property

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment (7.5 hours per day; 37.5 hours per week)
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (1st shift), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime as operationally necessary
- As an essential employee in this position, you may be required to work during emergencies or office closings.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Electrician Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, components, and equipment; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
Additional Requirements:
- You must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap Air National Guard Airbase.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
