Construction portfolio consists of projects located within other Commonwealth Agency facilities such as Department of Corrections (Correctional Institutions), Department of Human Services (State Hospital and Center Facilities), Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (Universities), Department of Military & Veterans Affairs (Readiness Center and Veterans' Hospital), Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (Flood Control, State Parks), and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (Headquarter Building).
Position is home headquartered; daily travel to job sites in the following Capital Area Region counties is required: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York. In addition, you may occasionally be asked to travel to the following counties outside of the Capital Area Region: Berks, Fulton, Perry, Northumberland, and Schuylkill.
This role supports construction and renovation projects that improve public facilities and ensure high-quality outcomes. It involves coordinating activities, resolving issues, and maintaining compliance throughout project phases. As an Assistant Construction Project Coordinator, you will perform the following duties:
- Project Coordination: Coordinate construction and renovation activities to support project goals
- Technical Guidance: Provide direction to outside professionals and contractors on construction matters
- Progress Monitoring: Track project schedules and address issues that may delay work
- Material Oversight: Approve, order, and verify the delivery of construction materials
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure construction meets laws, regulations, plans, specifications, and policies

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Position is home headquartered; however, daily travel to job sites in the following Capital Area Region counties is required: Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York. In addition, you may occasionally be asked to travel to the following counties outside of the Capital Area Region: Berks, Fulton, Perry, Northumberland, and Schuylkill.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $61,927.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of professional building construction administration, construction planning, or construction project engineering experience for renovations and new construction of commercial, institutional, or educational buildings; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession and maintenance of an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:
- You must reside in or be willing to relocate prior to employment to Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lebanon, or York Counties.
- You must be willing and able to travel to construction sites in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, and York in the Capital Area Region.
- You must be willing and able to travel to the following counties outside of the Capital Area Region if necessary for work: Berks, Fulton, Lancaster, Lebanon, Northumberland, Perry, and Schuylkill.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- On-site renovation and new construction experience at commercial, institutional, and education buildings
- Working knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) construction schedules
- Previous work experience on construction projects that utilized separate multiple Prime Contractors to perform the work
- Experience writing, generating correspondence to contractors, design professionals, and/or clients regarding project issues, conditions, or potential actions
- Experience conducting construction meetings
- Experience reviewing or negotiating construction change orders
- Microsoft Office Suite and/or Construction Management Software experience
